In the beginning of the year I was introduced to MXE by a friend.

We started out with some MDMA and would take occasional dosages of 0.1 to 0.2 MXE. We would usually continue into the next day and at some point lose track of the dosages or entirely forget that we just took one.

After several times of trying the drug we realized that weed seems to trigger a completely different effect of the drug and would put us into a mindset very similar to LSD. I used to compare it to 'popping a bubble'.

However, the most fascinating aspect of the drug for me was an experience of sharing a trip. If I would focus on a person I would share their hallucinations and the way of communication would change.

To give an example: I was sitting with a friend on the sofa and would start speaking in my mother tongue to him (he does not speak the language). Since I was in a dream-like state, I did not notice this. He apparently did not either, since he continued the conversation. Only after some time had passed (it could have been 5 minutes or 15, I really could not tell) he asked startled if I was speaking to him in a different language.

The most intense experiences I had together with my boyfriend, when we suddenly had some kind of soulmate recognition after our trip got more spiritual. From there on every time we chose to, we would change into different people, it felt like we were gods, and with every trip it seemed creation would become clearer to us. It seemed like we were entering one of many parallel universes. I am not going into too much detail because all those experiences have been very personal and are difficult to share. But I read quite a few experience reports and never found anything about shared trips and only a few about god-like experiences.

To summarize it, MXE is like walking in the state between awake and sleep. Everything seems possible, almost like my mind is the world.

I think this drug has a lot of potential in the field of psychotherapy for two reasons: It seems to change the approach to oneself and the issues one has because the inner self can be encountered in a very different and more intense way. Secondly if the ability of joined trips could be researched further, it might give a therapist access to a patient's mind in a new way.

I haven't taken this drug in about 6 to 9 months now because I found my boyfriend and I both showed addictive behaviour. The after effects, which are very positive if the trip went positive, lasted generally about 3 days which gave us maybe one sober day before we got high again, which gives barely enough time to reflect on your life critically.
