Out of Africa Gemuetlichkeit
Iododiphenhydramine & Dihydrocodeine
Citation:   Vinz Chlortho. "Out of Africa Gemuetlichkeit: An Experience with Iododiphenhydramine & Dihydrocodeine (exp99597)". Erowid.org. May 29, 2020. erowid.org/exp/99597

I have had good experiences with using diphenhydramine (Benadryl), bromodhiphenhydramine (Ambrodyl), dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), phenyltoloxamine (part of SS Bron, Percogesic orginal, Tussionex original & many others), doxylamine (Mersyndol, NyQuil), carbinoxamine (Rhinopront, Rondec) and orphenadrine for sleep and late afternoon sedation, so I was very interested when I came across tablets of iododiphenhydramine when I looked more closely at a box in the drug bag I took with me in a recent trip to Africa. I may have picked them up in Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar or Zimbabwe. For both allergic symptoms and sleep, did its job very well, and I swear it felt like Noludar or something for a fleeting moment as it started to kick in.

This experience made me start looking so see if there was such a thing as fluorodiphenhydramine and chlorodiphenhydramine (I knew that there was no astatodiphenhydramine) and in fact it started me on a bit of a halogenated drug search kick and I learned that there were a bunch of halogenated semi-synthetic opioids. There are indeed the other two diphenhydramines, but only in labs so far. I went searching for the halogenated derivatives of pheniramine as well, and there are 15 different ones, of which one can find six or seven.

I was learning about opioid potentiation and someone told me about chewing dihydrocodeine tartrate extended-release tablets 'because almost feels like gear [heroin]', so one evening I take three of the antihistamine tablets on an empty stomach and then chew up three of the 120 mg tablets of Didor Continus (DHC tatrate extended-release) and then chase it with a small shot glass of 136-proof brandy mixed with Paracodin elixir, which is dihydrocodeine hydroiodide and play with some of the Paracodin extended-release syrup with a small amount of undiluted absinthe and gulp down the whole mess after a few minutes, for a total of 360 mg of the tartrate and 60 mg of the hydroiodide. I write some notes about some experiments to do when I get back this evening such as grinding the tablets, adding absinthe and two grains of coarse koshering salt and setting it on fire and putting it out with ice water and then mutter something about this being a splendid way to prevent goitre as I get ready to leave home and walk down to the street.

I meet up with a group of friends and as we are walking to a restaurant I feel the first wisps of rising euphoria steal over me and I can feel flushing. This in itself potentiates another warm fuzzy rising feeling, that of one of my friends sidling over, cooing hello and various other to me and saying 'hmm I know what I'm going to do . . .' and then entwining her arm in mine . . . after about five minutes of this, she snuggles closer and resting her head on my shoulder.

The next evening, I eat 100 mg iododiphenhydramine, 480 mg dihydrocodeine, and vouchsafed it with 1400 mg of carisoprodol, 50 mg of hydroxyzine, and 880 mg of naproxen. It was groovy. Both nights I had a wonderful time walking through the streets of Copenhagen with this lovely sophisticated lady and a bunch of other folks.

The hydroxyzine makes everything work better and longer --- with dextromoramide (Palfium®), piritramide (Dipidolor®) and laevomethadone (Polamidone®) too.

Some time later, I used the last of my iododiphenhydramine from my trip in a dihydromorphine-methylphenidate-caffeine-iododiphenhydramine speedball. In combination with aspirin I had taken, it demolished my migraine headache and made me feel just like Jesus' Son!
