A couple nights ago, I was at home and really bored with nothing to do. So, naturally, I decided to drink something containing alcohol. I usually stick to hard liquors like rum or brandy, but that night I decided to have some wine instead. I don't remember how much I drank, but apparently it was enough to have an effect.

After 7 minutes or so, the effects were kicking in. I started feeling lightheaded and clumsy. And a few minutes later, the alcohol was in full swing. Everything seemed so much funnier, and I even started talking to people in an online chatroom because I was so talkative but nobody else was around. And, as usual, I felt the urge to do stupid things like falling on the ground on purpose to see if it would hurt (and of course it didn't, since I was drunk).

This continued for roughly 45 minutes, until it was time for me to urinate. It was dark and quiet outside, so I stepped out on the back porch to relieve myself. And then this tree in my yard caught my eye. This big, huge, stark and ominous tree. And it scared me so much that I had to go back inside. Now, I understand that I didn't have a trip or start seeing colorful geometric patterns, but this was different from anything I'd ever experienced before while drunk. Maybe it was because I had had wine instead of liquor, but it sure was an unusual drunken experience.
