Gift an sich ist nicht so schlecht nur wenn die Freunde sich zu verändern beginnen bin ich beim überlegen warum Drogen einen Menschen voll auf die Ego Welle schmeisen!!! A friend introduced me to your web site about eight months ago. He is not a "user" for recreational purposes, but rather, is in search of a journey into his own universe and spirit. I have always been somewhat detached from what is normal or conventional and have always been drawn to the things I don't see and can't explain. This site has NOT tempted me into experimenting with drugs, but rather has sparked thought and possibilities of an alternate reality. First of all...this is a kick ass site. Reading that story of caseys(the ghb overdose) really made me think how lucky i am to be here!! About 8 months ago me and my friends all travled to Daytona Beach(FL) to go to a rave. We went and had the time of our lives. Afterwards we all went to a hotel room that my friend had rented for the weekend. Well i was in search of antother pill and eventually found it.We went to the batroom so i could take the pill. There was like 6 people in this small ass bathroom, all doing the same thing i was (amoung other stuff). N-e-wayz I got the bean and for some reason decided to chew it up(and for anyone whos ever chewd up a bean u know its the most god awful taste---worse than "G")So I immediately asked this guy next to me for a drink of his water. He grabbed a bottle and handed it to me. I took a good size swig...swallowed it down...and then I tasted it. I grabbed that mother fucker who handed it to me and asked him what the hell it was...all he could do was look at me with his dialated pupils and i seen him shaking his head. I tried to make my self throw up but couldnt. It was all down hill after that. The next thing i remember was waking up 4 1/2 hours later. Luckily they forced me to drink salt water so that helped. It was a fucked up experience...now I cant even see the hit without getting the dry heves. I beg any "G" dealer reading this..or anybody with a bottle...please, please dye it blue so u can tell what it is. U dont think something like this can happen....but it does...all the time.
There has got to be an easier way to make MDMA!!!!!

Good site. Allowed me to get the info I needed to confidently embark on the Peyote experience.
Student in Beijing, China. Found chinese cactus dealers at the Fuxingmen Saturday plant and bird market vending live peyote grafted to an unkown cactus. The venders do not know the psychoactive properties of the cacti. Only one of about 15 of the venders knew of the psychoactive properties and its use with indian. He told me he had eaten one button and became sick. This is the peyote scene in China.

This is a great site. I usually come here every time in on the net. I've been using different drugs for over 7 years. I suppose my favourite drug though is THC. I smoke dope, cheese (hash) or lube (hash oil) every day. I'm actually high right now. I strongly believe that the choice to use drugs should be left to the individual. Why do we not have the choice of what we want to do to our own body? I hope that in my lifetime more drugs will be legalized and I won't have to stay in my house to smoke a joint, or to snort some E, or to make some acid. Keep up the good work. It's my greatest desire that some day the iron curtain of lies will be lifted off of drugs in the public and with the aid of sites like this that day will be become a reality sooner then we think.
I'd like to see some info on hash oil. It's very popular in south western ontario but many other places don't seem to know it even exists.

before i got the internet 2 years ago i was already into the whole pshycadelic thing, but i must admit that i have learned a few interesting things here. Erowid has a vast number of people coming here and who knows there just might be another movement on the way.
it would be nice to see more art related to spirit and so on. It would also be nice to have something to destinguish san pedro apart from other similar cacti.

I would love to have info about Hyocyamus Niger.A psychoactive herb, which is poisoness in larger doses.It was used in the middle ages by witches, The story goes that they made a cream from this herb, together with Atropa Belladonna, and Mandragora Officinalis.Does anybody know if this is true, and if yes, how did they make it.I also would like to know in which dose s Hyocyamus becomes poisonous.

I've been working on a term paper about Legalizing Marijuana and this page has beem very informative. I found more valuable info on this page then on the rest of the web. I'd also like to thank Erowid for this page because I did research on some drugs that me and my friend's were doing and found out that we were taking too much. It's really helpful that the doses are on the webpage. I think it's important to be drug smart and Erowid is doing it's part in telling the truth. This is the best collection of information pertaining to recreational drug use in general that I've found on the net. It is well laid out, easy to access, and much that is here can be corroborated elsewhere. Keep up your good work.
Perhaps a bit more on music and it's relation to the psychedelic experience would be good. There are some sub-genre types of music out there that are incredibly good. There I sat in a world all my own, no prediction for the future. No protection from the past, all I knew I wanted was some more of that nitrous fucking laughing gas.
I live in Indiana, there's this headshop that we buy the cream charger shells from, but for a 24 case they want like 25 bucks, but I can't tell you how many memories I've made from n2o. I've introduced about 10 different people to greatness of nitrous, and I'm proud cause they've all said that it made their day.

I think erowid.org is a must have for anyone looking into experimenting with mind altering agents. In my opinion fliers with this site should advertised should be passed around raves throughout the the United States to heighten the awareness of the dangers of various substances. I've personally seen kids as young as 10-16 O.D. on stuff because they were totally peer pressured to take stuff just to fit the crowd. Unfortuante as the situation is I still enjoy the rave scene and dance even if no one else is dancing. By the way how come there's a lack of house music in the Bay Area Raves? I'm also wondering after surfing around High Times magazine website ( http://www.hightimes.com ) I was curious about the links it put up within the classifieds section. I linked up to 2 sites and one they were both selling Marijuana alternatives and the like. ONe site I'm curious to know more about ( http://www.herbsmokes.com ) claims about SATIVAH 1/6 SALVIA DIVINORUM priced @ $14.95 ounce Does this claim live to be true? What do you think? Are there any herbal alternatives to Weed that produce the same side effects?

I think this site is cool but view it from too different angles. It's really kick ass and informative on every drug so people can research before they tend to experiment. However I think this contributes to an ever growing problem I've noticed the past few years. It seems that party kids are becoming more trendy and forgetting what the whole scene is about. Most kinds are just looking at it as a place to do drugs and if the music is there then that is ok. Don't get me wrong - I love to roll as much as everyone else - but not as the sole purpose of going to parties. It started about music and always will be about the music. But I just think that everyone should take a step back and realize that MUSIC is and always wil be the ultimate drug. With much peace and respect,

Lately Iv'e been reading about monatomic elements, ORME (Orbitally Rearranged Monatomic Elements), ORMUS, or m-state matter. I was amazed at the wealth of information that you offer. unfortunately this site wasn't around when my boyfriend decided to drink "angel trumpet tea" a while back and ended up in the hospital in convulsions as well as some serious hallucinations afterward. I suppose that is what you get when you are ignorant about the substances you put into your body. Excellent info for the discriminating as well as exotic substance user.

It has been my experience that AMBIEN, a prescription sleeping pill, when taken in immediate conjunction with the smoking of MARIJUANA can amplify the psychadelic properties of each drug. The result was a hypnotic trance with mild visuals or hallucinations. To be quite honest, I stared directly at a blacklight poster for what must have been two hours as I seemed to speed through a three dimensional vortex of color. Listening to Beck's "Mellow Gold" is also recommended to heighten one's experience.
Personally, I would like to see quite a bit more information on the prescription drug AMBIEN. Such information might include the testimonials of others who have experiemented with ambien, perhaps in combination with other drugs. Please see below.

Dear Erowid I appreciate, what I see you as doing in terms of Citizen Science. Appreciated what I have seen on Cannabis, but found the tobacco pages to be a black hole.

Where is the interest for the cigarette smoking habit (e.g. no reference to Richard Kleins book Cigarettes are sublime, no reference to the interesting and to the public paradoxical balances between energizing and relaxing effects, - where do I find references to the curves of these effects over a first, second and third cigarette on a day, - and its interplay with cognitive processes - etc. etc.Where do I get information on the gods of tobacco (I found them elsewhere). And where do I get access to ongoing research in this area, which is not tied up in carcinofobia and abuse and misuse, but simply focussed on identifying the psychological aspects of reasonable and productive use of the cigarette.

I approach this as researcher, and I think, that this is, what pages like this should favor.

I am a fairly young user of cannabis, and I have used E once before. It was good, and I want to use it again. But this has driven a wedge between my friends and drawn criticism. I hear many ignorant 'facts' about ecstasy such as, 'You know that jaw clenching you get, that's from the coke in it.' I then informed them that the drug in ecstasy is MDMA and they didn't know what I was talking about. If only they could take the time to look at the mass of information on this site which dispels some rumours. Thankyou, erowid.
Differences in taking E at home as compared to a rave or techno party. ie: how much of an effect does atmosphere have on users of E? Does it induce any hallucinogenic properties? A very informative site for people wanting to know everything and anything about drugs, however my concern is one of the comments in a link from your MDMA information. "MDMA is a damn safe drug". Whilst this may be so for many people - for some younger members of our community this is all they need to read to think they know all about the drug. The comment is not followed with information regarding the other (more dangerous) substances that are being added to Ecsatsy tablets now which make them "damn unsafe" to some. I daresay that telling the parents of the people who have died from complications associated with the use of Ecstasy that it is "damn safe" would most certainly disagree.

long time triper i have allways wanted to have a resourse like this i resently went to the rainbow serpent festable and ran into some amanita muscaria which was quite enlighting i met a man there who was in the forest and had been eating these for the past three days there was a group of fungi at least every ten metres anyway he offered me some of this great amazing rooms we sat down and consumed untill i went on a jurney out of the forest and across the sunset plains into a veiw of one moon that was full to a beutifull night that seamed to be perfect and full laughs i really wish i could have stayed longer. i love amanita muscara and this site is the best.

I stumbled on this site out of boredom, and it went on to my favorites list immediately! i loved the experiences from other people. this site is extremely informative and understandable, not to mention easy to get aroung to find what your'e looking for... I've been trying to expand my mind lately and learn more about the world in which i live. You site gave brief light to some of the religions that i'm interested in studying, which sort of added to my curiosity. I'm interested in what your people think of the whole consept of fate and pre-determination, the after-life and our purpose here on Earth. In response to Daisie's inquiry, I just wanted to mention that alcohol passes through the blood-brain barrier more readily than most other drugs, so I don't believe the "bad trip" was totally associated with the MDMA. The nausea probably resulted from the alcohol consumed, however, (for future reference) a good, "safe" dose is in the area of 75 mg. And to those whom it may concern, its not likely that MDMA (or even acid, for that matter) is laced with anything; unpleasant side-effects result from poorly or cheaply manufacturing these goodies. But anyways, Daisie, I would recommend that (if you choose to) next time, don't drink alcohol b4 you dose.MDMA is fun stuff, especially when used with other psychedelics (like shrooms). Alcohol is a depressant that affects a totally different part of the brain, dopamine recepters, and doesn't have the same type of "feel good" high. Besides, MDMA is a more intelligent high. -Benzylamine

I have to say I have learned alot from this site. I really like there is a site out there that informs the public on the issues of drugs . thatnk you for the information extacy I have been taken it for a little while and I did not know all the faqs about it . People have been teeling me things that had me scared for a long time about it . This site has informed that most of what they said has been a lie . The drug is among one of the "safest" drugs as it is non-lethal up untill rediculous doses (sleeping pills and tylenol are more dangerous). It's label as the date rape drug is almost totally unfounded as only 6 recorded cases have been found. The government and thier "experts" have dismissed obvious medical uses, such as an aid to stop innsomnia, alchoholism, opiate addication, along with the release of GH (Growth hormones)for athletes (It used to be sold in GNC). Even in my local paper I see articles stating how a girl was killed from GHB when she was found dead after jumping/falling out of a 4th story window. a single negative incident and suddenly the drug is bad/overabused/and the leading date rape drug. I don't think anyone even tried to use the drug for negative purposes before the media frezy against it started (Recreation is not negative). If every drug we have today had the negative hype that GHB DID!!!!!!(now that it is illegal) then every drug will be illegal. This country and it's bias against relatively safe drugs has to stop. The sadest thing it most countries follow the US's decisions and soon GHB and other drugs like it will become illegal all over. WHY is this happening???? The drug is easy and cheap to make and does have too many uses. The major drug companies are scared and present false hype. I'm sorry but this is fuc*i*ng adsurd.
GBL/GHB ILLEGAL The bill making this substance illegal for selling, making, or possesion has now passed in the house. All that remains now is the presidents signature to make it a law. This will happen almost definitely within the next few weeks.

If anyone knows if eating ecstasy a lot for a long time, can mess up your kidneys , let me know. I have been off of it for a year now, but I still get these really bad heart problems. I am actually having them a little bit right now. And, I have eaten over 115 ecstasy pills (beans) at least. And I have heard that it takes a few years, but they will give you kidney failure. Is this true? And one more question. I have heard that , in about 10 years after you stop the drug, you will get major heart trouble. Is there any truth to that? Well thanks a lot for the help.

I think it is really great what you guys are doing. This site is very informative and educational on topics that need to be explained and studied in depth. Your page on about erowid is kind. Every cat on this earth is searching for meaning,inner-peace,enlightenment-knowledge. I myself being a music follower-lover i believe i have different methods of searching for myself. In the past i have used a variety of mood-enhancers. Im saying nothing of that mind-altering substances is the road to take but some of them i feel are essential to spiritual growth and self-discovery. Young people need a good source of information on such topics, should they choose an alternative lifestyle man! I am going to be 20 years old in may. all naturally i want to stimulate my mind and my body by going to school and the gym. Your site is awesome!!! keep up with the good info. I myself take ecstacy at Raves, but on New Years eve I must have got some xtc that was laced with who knows what because after that nite I had the body shakes really bad for 2 days. I also somewhat have flash backs from it! Just thought I'd share... N-E-body have the same experiences ??? or is it just me ?

The use of these mind altering chemicals is very dangerous, look at what happened to DM Turner, dead in a bathtub at age 34! Psychonauts? Sounds like a euphamism for DRUG ADDICT. If a person chooses to repeatedly take drugs to derive satisfaction from life, he probably has a serious problem with sober living. God's world is so beautiful as it is, why would you need to take posionous chemicals such as animal tranquilizers to appreciate it? I've tried most of this stuff, and for a while it felt fun and exciting, but the destructive side emerged in my life. Luckily I got off the elevator before hitting the basement. If there are addicts out there reading this, I recommend AAs 12 steps for a spiritual experience and freedom, that for me, has been far more intense and long lasting than that derived from any of these chemicals.

Sorry if I offended any of you, but I just wanted to share my thoughts.
