The Secret Chief is an edited interview between Myron Stolaroff and a man referred to as “Jacob” – the ‘Secret Chief’ – who performed psychedelic psycho-spiritual therapy with 3,000 people between the 60’s and his death in the late 80’s.

The book offers a frank discussion between two experienced psychedelicists about the processes Jacob developed over his many years leading people through the difficult and unpredictable terrain of the mind. Starting with how he selected and prepared the candidates, through the specifics of his introductory “Individual Trip”, to the “Group Trip” that he and a dedicated group developed, to materials and doses, a discussion of the outcomes of the therapy, and finally a collection of personal accounts from a few who went through Jacob’s therapy.

The Secret Chief offers practical tripping wisdom to the explorer as well as interesting documentation on the underground psychedelic therapy movement. Recommended.
