Abstract
300-500 mcg. LSD caused in 5 of 12 mental patients an initial phase of excitation followed by catatonia-like symptoms with stupor and catalepsy, resembling that noted after the administration of bulbocapnine. In low dosage, LSD causes mental excitation, but in high dosage hallucinatory mental confusion and catatonia.
