“Lysergic acid diethylamide antagonism of certain drugs.”.
Ann. N.Y. Acad. Sc.. 1957;66:677.
Abstract
Hexobarbital sleeping time in mice: LSD antagonized the potentiating actions of serotonin and reserpine, had no effect on the potentiating action of iproniazid and enhanced the potentiating action of azacyclonol . Spontaneous activity of grouped mice: LSD converted the depression induced by serotonin and iproniazid into stimulation, had no effect on the depression induced by reserpine and enhanced the depressant action of azacyclonol. . These differences in the interaction of LSD and the other drugs suggest that several mechanisms are involved.
