“Accentuation of LSD 25 effect through antihistaminica.”.
Fol. psychiat. Jap.. 1957;11:266.
Abstract
Seven normal subjects were given 25 mcg. LSD orally. 15-45 mg. of an antihistamine (Restamine-Kowa) were given by slow i.v. injection when the LSD effect reached a peak. In all cases the effects of LSD were accentuated. Studies in one case given the antihistamine alone showed that the combined effects of the two drugs were greater than could be expected from a summation of effects. In two cases the subsequent administration of histamine relieved the symptoms due to LSD and the antihistamine more rapidly than those due to LSD alone.
