“Effect of d-lysergic acid diethylamide on spinal reflexes.”.
Proc. Soc. Exper. Biol. Med.. 1958;99:179-181.
Abstract
The amplitude of monosynaptic reflexes recorded from the ventral roots of nonanesthetised spinal cats was increased by intravenous injection of LSD in doses greater than 200 mcg/kg. Polysynaptic activity was concomitantly depressed. . As LSD modifies spinal reflexes in a maner analogous to that of epinephrine, it may interact with epinephrine-like transmitter substances.
