“LSD-25 antagonism of morphine analgesia.”.
India J. Physiol. Pharmacol.. 1959;3:78.
Abstract
A study using the hot plate method in rats showed that LSD (50, 250, 500 and 1250 mcg/kg) exerted no analgesic effect. However, 50, 250 and 500 mcg/kg LSD antagonized the analgesic effects of morphine and amidone. LSD did not significantly alter the onset or duration of morphine analgesia but doses of 250-500 mcg/kg enhanced the Straub tail phenomenon induced by 50 mg/kg morphine tartrate.
