Abstract
Twenty-four male and 10 female students aged 20-30 were given 1.25 mcg/kg LSD orally. Before and 6-7 hours after administration of the drug an intelligence test battery with 9 sub-tests (general information, verbal comprehension, verbal memory, numerical reasoning, inductive reasoning and spatial reasoning) was given. Only 24 students were evaluated. . From 18 variables (9 tests each under two conditions) 153 intercorrelations were obtained. . The factor pattern of intelligence was less differentiated under LSD than under normal conditions. Under LSD verbal reasoning was altered more than non-verbal reasoning i.e. numerical and spatial reasoning. Thus the higher the level of differentiation of an ability, the stronger the influence of LSD upon it. . (See 562)
