Abstract
Effects of LSD-25 spontaneous cortical and subcortical activities of the unanesthetized rabbit's brain and its effects on cortical responses evoked by sensory stimulation and electrical stimulation of subcortical structures have been investigated. . It is concluded that LSD raises the activities of the nonspecific activating system [reticular formation] in subcortical structures, while it produces an unbalanced functional state of sensory systems and, consequently, builds up a characteristic clinical state.
