Abstract
A study was made of 49 patients observed at Los Angeles County hospital as a direct result of LSD ingestion. In 57 percent of these patients an extended psychosis developed although they had no previous history of psychotic behavior. The patients were young and of low socio-economic order. Those who were discharged from the County Hospital made poor social adjustment in succeeding months.
