“Ecstasy related tooth wear”.
Br Dent J. 1998 Sep 26;185(6):264.
Abstract
Changes in jaw muscle activity, reported effects of Ecstasy abuse, may be factors in tooth wear. Current health promotion advice to those abusing ecstasy is the frequent consumption of small quantities of certain sports type or fruit drinksas an attempt to counteract dehydration and avoid ion inbalances. It is conceivable that the combination that changes in jaw muscle function, appetite, and drinking patterns could contribute to, or cause tooth wear.
