Abstract
Abuse of the synthetic amphetamine derivative, 'ecstasy' (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, MDMA) causes convulsions and sudden cardiac death, hyperpyrexia, acute renal failure, psychosis, and cerebral haemorrhage. We report a previously unrecognised, serious neurological complication.
