Does My New Antipsychotic Block Entheogens

For the past 8 months I have received regular fluphenthixol depot injections for psychosis. I had consumed mushrooms in the past to good effect and wondered if I would still be able to experience them while on my new antipsychotic. I made 3 attempts, all were similar.

On the first attempt, I hiked into a remote cabin by myself and took what looked to me to be an average dose of mushrooms. Over the next hour I noticed a warming sensation, and anticipated this as the start of the high, but the high never came. I chopped firewood steadily, watched a mediocre sunset, built my fire with no more than the usual interest and went to sleep when it died down. My perceptions remained disappointingly normal.

On two future occasions I took a similar dose while at home, and had the same reaction, i.e. almost none. It occurred to me that the mushrooms were duds, but I know the source and I know other people who obtained mushrooms from the same source around the same time and were satisfied.

I tentatively conclude that flupenthixol blocks the action of psilocybin.
