After graduating college, I moved in with my mom and stepdad. I grew up living with my dad, so sometimes things get really tense. They have an 11 year old and a 14 year old. Between them and grad school and a diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I have insomnia and tension. I tend to clench my jaw and grind me teeth (a nasty habit that formed when I used to use psychedelics).

It's not often that no one is home. I don't really know anyone in this state yet, so I don't know anywhere I can go to get anything I've used in the past. However, I'd done a lot of research on nepeta, or catnip. I'd used it in the past to make tea to help me sleep, and knew I could smoke it, but my stepdad is very anti drugs and alcohol, so I hadn't had the chance yet.

One day they all went out for the evening, so I walked up to the liquor store and bought a bottle of Barefoot pink moscato (my favorite) and came home. I took off my pants (cause I love to smoke in my underwear) and poured myself a glass. I smoked a bowl and it made my mouth really dry, so I quickly drank the glass of wine. I smoked a second bowl and drank a second glass of wine. I put everything away before they got home and put on sweatpants and settled in to watch tv. It made my sex drive spike, so I used my vibrator, then got cleaned up and headed to the living room.

As I leaned back into the pillows on the sofa, I felt so utterly relaxed, like sinking into a warm bath. I felt a little warm, but not uncomfortable. My mouth was still really dry, and I was starting to get a headache, so I went into the kitchen and grabbed a soda. I had heard the best way to fight a catnip headache was to eat something, so I heated up some leftovers and took it and my soda back into the living room. I ate and my cat finally came over. She left the room when I started smoking (she never stays in the room when my friends and I use anything. No one's ever tried to dose her, but I think we just act too weird.) She came and lay down beside me and I pet her as I watched tv. My sex drive was still up, but I was so relaxed it left my mind soon. I noticed an almost disassociative quality to the mix of the plant and the wine paired together. My muscles were relaxed and for once, I wasn't clenching or grinding my jaw.

Everyone got home a while later. I burn sage often, so if they noticed the smell, they didn't ask about it. I was still super relaxed and happy, and when I lay down to go to sleep that night it came without any problem. The only over the counter medication I'm on right now is birth control, and I took a B&D vitamin that morning.

I felt so well rested when I woke up the next morning that this is a combo I can't wait to try again.
