Vapor Genie Catnip Soothing Siesta
Set/Setting: Living room couch, overcast day. I'm fairly well-rested, had my morning coffee and breakfast. I recently purchased a Glass Vapor Genie sherlock pipe as a Christmas present to myself and decided to vape some catnip with it a little while reading the news and morning emails.
T 0:00 - I take the first long vaporized draw and hold it in my lungs about 20 seconds. Very smooth, warm and pleasant taste. Immediately I notice an increased sense of bodily warmth and sense of placement, as if I'm more profoundly seated in my couch than I was before.
0:05 - I stir the herbs around a little in the bowl, then vape again. Less vapors than the first hit, since catnip seems to vaporize pretty quickly (or it could be that my Vapor Genie is extremely effective!).
0:07 - Feeling very relaxed, a general sense of 'chilling out'. Decided to fill another bowl and vape away.
0:15 - After a few more tokes of the 'nip and vaping the herb for all it's worth, I'm feeling more than just chill or relaxed, but eyelids getting heavy and wanting a nap. I decide this is a good point to stop, since I have work to do later. This feeling of sleepiness persists for about 90 minutes after.
Closing thoughts: Definitely not a 'high' or anything comparable to cannabis, but interesting and worth trying nonetheless, preferably around bedtime. This might be a good sleep aid.
