DOSE:
3 g oral Mushrooms (dried)
BODY WEIGHT: 130 lb
My friend and I decided to take some time off during the working week and try some new Ecuadorian mushrooms we got. We were mostly going for something light and enjoyable
We were mostly going for something light and enjoyable
, watching a movie and just talking, so we weighed 2,5-3 grams for each. It had been more than two years for me since the last time I had mushrooms, but I was in a very good spot in my life so I decided I could use a larger dose.

We started watching the movie and after approximately 15 minutes, I started feeling very heavy, sinking into the couch as it was quicksand. Nothing unpleasant though, although I could only slightly move my hand. I looked up from the TV at a plant above a shelf and it started to slowly grow, and look thicker, greener….somehow more organic. It felt as if it was taking up the room. The leaves were slightly turning and it seemed to show friendly human body language.

I got up and suddenly became very active and excited. My friend and I were talking about how we felt as if we were Sims and started acting strangely, talking to the bar stools, trying to sit on the couch head first, rolling on the kitchen counter and so on. I felt in as a kid in a way, and I could just act silly and feel good about it.

At some point I noticed a picture of my friend's grandparents and those around it. They looked so real, as if they were doors to other realities. It made me really happy while looking at them and I was trying to explain to my friend in the moment how I felt, the closest I came was in life you have to see the bigger picture, not focus on one detail. I was just so enlightened and couldn’t stop touching the pictures, until I started crying with happiness.

We lied down on the couch and closed our eyes, just listening to the music in the background. The open eye visuals were nothing compared to what I was seeing with my eyes closed. Patterns flowing in perfect symmetry, details appearing and disappearing, vibrant colors, flowers blooming with petals of lava……….I came to the understanding that that was living matter, the structure of life, flowing through us.

At some point music became unbearably beautiful, and for the first time I experienced synesthesia
for the first time I experienced synesthesia
. It was so ethereal my ears weren’t doing it enough justice so I just started seeing it with my eyes closed: a body of light, with every sound wave turning into a tentacle that was coming out of it, filling the space. All I could do was sigh in amazement. I asked my friend if he was going inward or outward, although I don’t remember now what I meant exactly, he responded with basically the same words and feelings as I was experiencing. It was like telepathy, floating together through outer space, with our eyes closed and holding hands to feel a bit of contact with reality. I felt as if all this beauty was the afterlife waiting for me, and the physical feeling could be described as floating on water, with life above and death underneath. I wasn’t scared at all, I wanted to drown in it.

This must’ve lasted for approx. 3 hours, then we turned off the music and went to bed as we were physically exhausted (it was getting quite late) but my mind was still as active and the feeling wore off into my dreams.
