I took 200mg modafinil pill at 12pm and around 3g. of shrooms (p. cubensis) at 2 pm. I was in a desert area.

As I took shrooms, modafinil already kicked in (but I'm used to 200mg dose so the effect felt very weak).

As this is a combination, with limited reports about it - I was a bit worried. When shrooms started to kick in, they also intensified the feeling of modafinil, and they both felt well compatible with each other, while still having really pronounced feeling of each substance (modafinil was adding a clear and a bit artificial sense to it, while shrooms had more natural psychedelic sense to them). At some point it felt like they were two separate substances that work 'together' well, but refuse to merge into 'single experience', and each substance has its own pretty clear feeling to it.

When the feeling 'merged' into a single clear and psychedelic experience (although the clearness of modafinil wasn't adding clearness to shrooms, it was just another aspect of the experience), the ego loss and intensity were pronounced. It was pretty intensive, and total ego loss was very sharp and couldn't be avoided. I thought to myself this is definitely too intensive for beginners. Shrooms have their own pretty complex feeling to them, and the combination although was somewhat different wasn't really different enough from just taking higher doses of each substance separately.

The visuals for me felt the same as on shrooms (which were very cool but I didn't see any difference added by the combination), and the thought process was a bit sharper, and probably more 'modafinil oriented' but yet mainly psychedelic. It felt like Modifinil was working on an 'orthogonal' plane, that was generally compatible with shrooms but also wasn't adding something extremely new or modified the experience in any drastic way. On the other hand the sharpness and clearness that are usually felt with modafinil was intensified, and yet it was there mainly on its own right.

I think it was fun experiment, and in general the combination was good, but I won't do it again unless I will be short on shrooms, and will want to get more intense experience. Also modafinil was adding some energy and alertness, and it was appropriate in my settings, but it was modifying the shrooms experience in a way that is a bit 'alien' to shrooms natural flow. So I'll probably prefer to take each substance separately.
