The Best Smart Drug I've Ever Had
Phenylpiracetam

DOSE:
1 cup oral Tea
120 mg oral Phenylpiracetam (powder / crystals)
BODY WEIGHT: 165 lb
I’ve written reports on other nootropics such as noopept and phenibut in the past, but they seem to have different uses other than the goal of replacing traditional stimulants for helping me get through school and work. I have diagnosed ADHD, and legal/plentiful access to methylphenidate, but it tends to bring on negative side effects (anxiety, insomnia, muscle tremor, depression on the comedown, etc).

A little background information: 19 year old male, caucasian, in excellent shape, attending college. I’ve tried most popular drugs of recreation (oxycodone, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, alcohol, etc) and some much more obscure research chemicals. I’ve also tried piracetam, fasoracetam, and coluracetam.

Before writing this, I had tried this compound at doses from 40-100mg+, but these tests were inconclusive at best. After doing some research on the pharmacology of this substance, I made sure to eat high-choline foods all day before taking it.

(T-0:10) At around 7:00 p.m, I bring water to a boil and add one bag of green tea. While it steeps, I weigh out precisely 120 mg of phenylpiracetam. Phenylpiracetam is not soluble in water (but is soluble in fat) so I mix in about two tablespoons of cold, reduced-fat milk. Once cooled, I stir in the phenylpiracetam.

(T+0:00) Beginning at 7:10 p.m. I begin sipping the tea. I also start writing this report.

(T+0:10) I finish the tea and hop in the shower. I need to make it to an important meeting for a magazine I write for at 8:00.

(T+0:30) I step out of the shower and dry off, clean my hair, pack my bag, etc. I feel an extraordinarily clean, relaxed stimulation. This could be the caffeine in the tea, but I’m not sure it’s just that.

(T+0:50) I have arrived at the meeting. Feeling slightly more stimulated. Very focused, though. The stimulation and focus is of a distinctly different nature than typical stimulants. I’d characterize it as less manic or energetic. Significantly more motivated.

(T+1:30) No appetite suppression. Heart rate slightly elevated, but not abnormally (and certainly less than any other stimulant).

(T+1:50) I leave the meeting and work on a video editing project for a bit. My girlfriend calls me asking, indecisively, if I want to go to the gym. She is tired and crashing from methylphenidate (what a coincidence!), and I find the call slightly irritating. After a couple minutes (that felt much longer), we decided to go. Since I only had to do a few quick tasks for the project, I finish them up

(T+2:10) Feeling less focused. I’ve definitely peaked. No emotional comedown to speak of yet.

(T+2:15) My girlfriend feels anxious and can’t go to the gym. I try to suggest I could walk with her and hold her hand, but she’s having none of it. I shake my shoulders and go anyway.

(T+2:30) I have arrived at my apartment (where the gym is) and chat with my roommate for a bit. Conversation flows well and doesn’t feel awkward at any point.

(T+3:35) The gym was okay, but my form was definitely off. I was extremely engaged in what was on the TV in the gym though, a documentary about Mary Magdalene. Pretty sure it’s more or less worn off.

(T+4:10) I’m completely down, feel at baseline.
(T+4:10) I’m completely down, feel at baseline.
No noticeable crash (!!) which is an awesome plus for this substance.

I ended up staying up until around 3:30 a.m. (T+6:20), but that was for reasons unrelated to the phenylpiracetam. Slept normally for a little over seven hours thereafter.

Conclusion:
This would be a good material for studying, work, or any other situation requiring focused effort. It is far less “psychoactive” and more nootropic than amphetamine, methylphenidate, or even caffeine. The stimulation is subtle, but the focus is excellent.

I believe the reason I finally got noticeable effects was my choice in food. I made sure to drink lots of milk, eat chicken, spinach, and pretty much any choline-rich food I could get my hands on. This, plus the slight increase in dose, finally got me where I wanted to be with this molecule.

I look forward to using it again, but supposedly a tolerance builds rather steeply, so I’ll have to wait a few days.

This is probably the best smart drug I've ever had.
