This is my first report, so I'm not so sure about how should I start (also English, although I have a good level, is not my first language, so excuse me if I make any grammatical mistakes or any typos).

Well I guess I'll start talking a bit about me; I’m a 19 year old male college student in Spain, usually relaxed and, at risk of sounding arrogant, I’ll say that I have a good understanding of how drugs affect our bodies (in a neurochemical way). This knowledge comes both from my personal interests on drugs as recreational substances and my “professional” studies, since I’m a biochemist student. Actually I’m kind of a weird combination of hippie, punk and extremely scientific person (with the last one I mean that I’m not a person who considers nature some sort of sacred, mystical thing, although I really enjoy been surrounded by it, except for the insects, those little bastards give me the creeps).

I started using drugs at what I think was an early age (14) and for many years I only used weed, but a lot has happened since that first joint. Nowadays I have already tried cannabis (weed, hash and edibles), ecstasy, 2-CB, salvia and, the last one added, Mushrooms, which is funny because, it was the second illegal drug that caught my attention, but they’re really difficult to find here and I didn’t really had someone to do them with, even though I had been doing research and waiting for the day since I was 16, three years ago, and this august (4 months ago) the day finally came.

About a year ago some college friends proposed to me that we could plant shrooms, and with that my hopes for a first trip reappeared, luckily we had some shipment problems and we couldn’t get the spores, and I say luckily because not long after that, COVID came. After 5 months locked, which I didn’t really care (I went back to my mothers’, and mostly studied and played LOL, so it didn’t get specially anxious or stressed about it), we could get out again, so after that summer, my friends from town and I decided that we should make something special, given that in September I would be leaving again to college, and another friend would start it too, so we decided to do shrooms. I was super excited about it.

We were 4, a friend who had already trip on shrooms (V), the one who was starting college this year (S) and my best friend (L), who decided that she wouldn’t trip. We bought 3 grams of shrooms and headed through the river direction to the mountains, in an attempt to go somewhere kind of natural (not really since my town is in a really arid zone), but at least we got to the river and were not in the city itself (to avoid police, since we also had weed on us). Finally, we found a place, we were on top of a “cliff”, and below us, the rives, just when some green was starting to be found. Even though I would choose like a million places to trip over this one, it was pretty good, given the options in my city.

We get there at around 7pm and started to smoke a communal joint and playing some cards, we had been smoking almost on a daily basis for around a month, so our tolerance was really high, that’s why I wasn’t really afraid of it interfering with the trip. About an hour later we where eating the shrooms, they didn’t taste well, but it was better than usually described (Note: do not chew them with your molars, they’ll get stuck there, and it’s so frustrating) anyway, we just had to wait. We where waiting for 30-40 minutes until me and S started asking one another if we where feeling something, we were. I began to feel king of light, like if the gravity force was lowered, I really enjoyed it, and soon after that we were laughing at literally EVERYTHING, L who was just stoned was looking at us like with that I know you’re high af right now, and that’s when I realised that the shrooms were kicking in.

We were just fooling around, drinking beer, taking pics and looking at the plants for a while, since we realised that the sunset had already started (it was already 9-9.30pm) it was BEAUTIFUL, and as we looked at it we realised that the sky was getting red, but really red. Then I looked down to the trees and I saw how the leaves created forms, which is really weird to explain, it was like if I was able to see the edge of every leaf, and they combined to create forms, they were abstract forms, but it still amazed me. The touching felt kind of different, but it wasn’t something remarkable. I finally decided that we should listen to some music, at what V answered that she wasn’t really sure about it, because she didn’t wanted it to lead to a bad trip (which I’m really sure that couldn’t have happened with such low psychedelic effects, I mean, I really liked it, but the visuals were really short in time, and not nearly as intense as I would have liked them to be, but still a good start), so finally I convinced her and started playing the dark side of the moon album by Pink Floyd. It was different in a certain way, and I enjoyed it more than in a sober state, but again, it wasn’t like if I had an amazing appreciation of the music.

While the night was setting up, the visual effects were disappearing (around 10.30pm) so we made a pair of joints to try to get the effects back (one for V and L and another to S and me), but it didn’t really worked, the only thing from the shrooms that lasted more was the laughing. And finally, around 23-23.30 we decided to leave.

I think it was in average a good first try, the dose was really low, but we didn’t wanted to take too much and had a bad trip and end up refusing psychedelics. Also we couldn’t find more than that. I really had a lot of fun and I think that helped me connect more with them.
