Contrary to general view of foul tasting harmala tea - I found that after chilling in fridge, it was really pleasant. I had a flat teaspoon (circa. 2g) steeped in boiling water. Drank it slowly the day before, to little noticeable effect. So I took half the seeds out to dry, intending them for burning with incense - vague notions of hot boxing...
The other half (circa 1g) was still in dregs water - so I added another round of boiling water, steeped it and chilled in fridge.
Next day, 8am, on an empty stomach, drank the lovely chilled P. harmala tea - quite weak and pleasant, as it was 2nd wash, but still with colour to it.
Did some meditation, drifted in and out of alpha state - wondering/hoping the harmala tea was helping my own endogenous DMT surface... lol. Did not feel like it really.
So I toyed with the idea of taking a tiny microdose of APE to see if the P. harmala would yield any effects. Vacillated between eating mush with chocolate or mush with noodles... as I cannot bear the taste of neat mush, ended up doing a hearty noodle soup with left over curry thrown in, loads of chilli - was not expecting the microdose to be psychedelic at all. Mainly hopes of just sharpening the mind and focus.
13:00 hours - Delicious soupy spicy meal with small quarter gram APE
13:30 hours - picking up high pitch sounds with head feeling heavy, decided to test if it really was mind expansion taking place and if so, would it render me better at word search and seeing patterns faster - well. As I struggled through it I asked myself why would I scramble amongst letters when my neurons were jumping - in the end I managed 15 words in 9 mins as opposed to the usual 5 mins - ok so I knew I had to lie down - as the yawns also came upon me.
All in all, it was a gentle journey, lots of introspection. No crazy whirling ever-morphing scenes - prob due to small 1/4g. I purged via tears and a heavy heart space - no bad stomach at all.
The summary to all this:
1. Surprise at efficacy of the APE despite boiling and combination with full meal. (no heavy meats or cheese though)
2. I do feel the P. harmala - weak 1g and 2nd wash - paved the way for the long slow paced journey.
3. Plant "spirits" did convey they were here for us to tap back into our divinity - to remember divinity when we feel at a loss. (Although there are some journeys I have been on where no insights were forthcoming, and it just felt pointless).
4. Also, I wondered if the high pitched sounds were that of neural activity...
Hope this info. is helpful.
With deep respect to plant teachers and all who have contributed their experiences and knowledge 🙏🏼thank you.
