I spent the day at the beach with a few of my friends, and we had decided to bring some shrooms to eat around sunset. At around that time, we gobbled down our treats with water and absorbed the glorious sunset that had layed itself before us.

One of my friends was obviously hit first, as he had taken a bit more than the rest of us, and was lost in la la land after about a half hour. My trip came on a little slower, but then, as I was looking out over the bay, the water took on a hypnotic, rhythmic form and I realized that the starting and ending points of the horizon, the water, and the shore had become uncertain to me. My trip had begun.

As my two friends and I sat there on the beach, my trip intensified, and I began to understand things as I never had before. My visuals were not as intense as in past trips, but my internal consciousness was in a state that I am completely unable to describe in words today. It was as though my thoughts were traveling out of my brain and down through the rest of my body. Upon doing so, the words or images I had been imagining took on a different form, a form that I could hear and see at the same time, but that I am unable to describe. All I can say is that is felt as though my senses were merging into one great, internal entity that only I would ever have the ability to comprehend. I remember sitting there, looking at a tree that seemed to be melting into the sky, and thinking to myself that I would never be able to re-account exactly what I was experiencing at that moment, and I obviously can't.

The meat of the trip lasted from about one hour after I had taken them to about three hours after. For the next two hours after that, I smoked a few bowls a was a little disoriented with wavy vision, but nothing like how I had been before. Although it is impossible for me to duplicate the experience I had in words, I will never forget it. I know now that my mind is capable of creating things I am unable to begin to fathom. It reminded me of the limitlessness of the self, and that states of consciousness exist that are far different from those of everyday life.
