First Nitrous Oxide Experiment

This all began here in my college dorm room. My room mate and I are both into modifying our cars. We both have installed nitrous oxide systems in our cars, but I was taking mine out and re-installing the wiring. From my last tank I still had 5 lbs left in the 10 lb bottle so I had an idea.

We brought the tank up into our room with no problem. Then we went into the bathroom where we completely sealed the room. We turned on the tank and let it empty itself into the bathroom while we were standing outside. It was empty within a couple minutes. Then we stepped into the bathroom and just took a seat. We were taking deap breaths to inhale the gas into our lungs. After sitting there for a few minutes we both began to feel dizzy and a little different. After about 5 minutes of sitting in the bathroom, we started to cough. It was wierd because we both started to cough at the same time. Then when we couldn't take it anymore we exited the bathroom, stumbling out and gasping for breath. We left the room immediately and were walking down the hall to a friends room. We were coughing the whole time. I felt dizzy and felt like my body became weak, or like it weighed way more than it really did. The coughing stopped a few minutes later, but the dizzyness and weakness was felt for about another hour before it finally weared off.

We haven't done nitrous oxide again since then. It was definately a different experience. I don't think I'd use the nitrous in my tank again for this, but if someone happened to have it somewhere then I might do it again.
