DOSE:
1/8 g oral Mushrooms
    smoked Cannabis
BODY WEIGHT: 130 lb
I hadn't tripped in awhile and had been looking for mushrooms without any luck. A friend of mine found an 1/8th each for just the two of us, so we started planning the details.

9a.m. I got out of work at and we headed up to a park in Jamestown, RI. It was a good choice, or at least we thought so. It was in the month of March, so we figured it wouldn't be too crowded (kids in school, adults at work). Also, it was a pretty stormy day, so who would want to go to a park besides a pair of tripping crazies? Well, we got there, ate the shrooms on the bluffs, smoked the grass and waited. Upon deciding to make a trip to the porta-potties, we noticed it getting warmer and sunnier. An hour after taking the shrooms, we noticed many (and when I say many, I mean many) cars rolling in. We had just started to feel the effects (problems walking, decision-making difficulties, etc), so as we reached the bathrooms, we started freaking out as the people started swarming all around us. We went into our selected stalls, both staying in there for what seemed an eternity. Leaving the stall, the look on my friend's face told it all. She had gone through the same thing I had just experienced, being alone in that hot smelly box. I really didn't want to come out, but I decided to not let the public around us spoil our fun when it had taken so long to obtain the shrooms in the first place.

11:30a.m. We trekked across the big field heading toward the car and were at a loss from that point on. The field in front of our car was packed, like a beach on a beautiful summer day. The parking lot was packed, the grass littered with beach chairs and coolers. Ah! The terror set in. We couldn't come to any conclusions on what to do next, so we made it over to my friend's Integra and sat in it for awhile. That's when it started to hit us hard! My god, I was acting like I suffered from down syndrome and then look to my right to find some dude staring down at me with a puzzled look on his face. I yell to my friend 'Oh god, he knows!' and then proceeded to push the seat all the way back so I was out of view. As I lied down, I then believed I was in a huge van floating on top of a world made up of clouds. At the time, the song 'Commando' (Ramones) was playing and it was driving my brain crazy, so I made a decision to open the window and then proceed to hang half of my body out of it while flailing my arms about. At this time, (which was good timing indeed) a cop car was making its runs and slowed down as it passed us. I told myself that it was just a mirage from the shrooms, but realized it was the real thing when my friend starting screaming at me to look in that direction. Luckily, he did not come around to that area again.

Noon. I believe we were in the car for a good 1/2 hour before we decided it was getting too hot. The whole trip, it was so hard to make any decisions even regarding run-of-the-mill body functions. I couldn't decide if I was hot or cold, hungry or thirsty, to stand or sit, etc. etc. We got out of the car and carried the blanket over to the grassy field right in the thick of the mass of people! We both were almost crawling to our destination, which believe you me was very hard to pick out. So we ended up just chucking the blanket on the ground and plopping ourselves onto it. When I sat down, full panic arose in me and I just wanted to curl up and die, right there, right then. Now, this is where it got crazy. Every time I opened my eyes, I saw something new and different than before. At one point, I thought we were visiting the French Riviera on a hot summer day with the ships rolling in. I also saw Model T Ford's being driven at me in the clouds.

People were looking at us like we were nuts, which was indeed true at the time, so I don't blame them.

2p.m. Diane was unconscious for a good hour, so she, in a way, left me alone again, which I wasn't too fond of. After being in and out of consciousness myself and seeing that all-too-familiar paisley all over the place, I started to come down a bit. I pretty much felt like a heap of donkey shit and just started bawling my little eyes out after the trauma of the day. My stomach was hard as a rock, my head felt like a bunch of mashed up wobbly bits, and I still couldn't explain myself in the way that I had wanted to, which is the most frustrating side effect of shrooms. For me at least, the communication center in my brain shuts off when I take shrooms and I can usually only manage single word sentences. We sat on the blanket for about 20 minutes before deciding to leave the 'battlefield' and drive home. Even being in a moving car was an experience, the road and horizon were bouncing up and down. For the ride home, I put the seat back, placed my arm over my eyes and just tried to relax. Basically, the whole trip consisted of terrible panic, motor functions down!, and a lot of 'wha?'
