Poppy Pods & Drug Testing
Having just moved and being without any kind of street recreation to be found. It had been a few months since taking any sort of drug but my repertoire leading up to this point had included: LSD, most all opiates, many types of benzos, ketamine, coke, rit/adderal/dex, pot, mushrooms, E, barbiturates and probably some others I forgot. I mention this to provide background not to brag as I hardly think that being intoxicant savvy is an enviable quality.
I was excited to find poppy pods readily available online and read positive reports and decided to order some from two separate vendors. I was please with both though preferred the larger pods to the smaller ones. I tried the following methods of ingestion always after grinding the pods thoroughly in a coffee grinder:
Tea (steeped with a peppermint or citrus tea bag)
Mixed with ice cream (surprising good)
Mixed in oatmeal
Spread inside a PB&J
Mixed in yogurt
I found the tea to be the most palatable but the ice cream mix since it used the raw powder produced the strongest effects.
So for a few weeks I ate and drank poppy products but the main point of my account here is to describe my self-drug screening efforts after stopping using the pods as I cannot find a particularly good source online for how long it takes for the pods and byproducts to exit the system.
So I ordered 10 OPI self tests online for about $20 which is much better than paying $39 at Walgreens.
I should note that I stopped eating the pod dust two weeks prior to beginning the tests so I cannot comment on how long they linger as compared with the tea.
My final effective dose came on a Thursday evening. And I began testing myself every 12 hrs after the initial 24. The problem is that I received a new order that Saturday night and brewed up some tea. The tea had absolutely no effect and I am not convinced it was papaver somniferum. But its hard to say whether the active ingredients did exist in some small levels. I continued to regularly test myself until I came up clean on Tuesday. 5 days after the last effective dose and 3 days after the weak/inert dose.
[Reported Dose: "Repeated over 3-4 weeks totaling 60-70 pods"]
