Some Background:

It was Saturday night, the night before my 20th birthday. My boyfriend, one of my best friends, and I were on the way to Chicago to celebrate my birthday at a rave. Before we left we picked up another friend, I'll call him D. D get's in the car, wishes my a happy birthday, and hands me and eighth of mushrooms. I had taken shrooms before but had sworn off of them for a while because we got a little crazy with them over the summer. However, I knew doing it once in awhile was okay, and I decided to do them Sunday, my actual birthday, because I was just planning on drinking Saturday night.

I ended up splitting the eighth with my best friend, (we'll call her L.) because she shared the same birthday and had wanted to try them for awhile. We took them around 8:00 pm. We first tried just washing them down with some orange juice, but I usually have trouble with the taste/texture so I put to majority of mine into a peanut butter sandwich. I've found this is the easiest way to ingest shrooms without feeling sick afterward.

After taking them my boyfriend drove us all to a friend's house to smoke. We ended up smoking a birthday blunt and then a pretty fat bowl with kief on top. My friend L didn't smoke at this point, as she's not really a heavy smoker and just wanted to trip for a bit.

After we smoked, I really started to feel good. I was super high, and starting to hallucinate. First I saw lights sweep across my line of vision as if someone was giving me a light show. At this point my boyfriend pulled out his inova lights for us to play with. They looked amazing, and me and L talked about how cool they looked for a good 15 or 20 minutes.

We decided to go back to my boyfriend's house, and during the ride L and I kept discussing how weird and convenient life is. For example, we talked about how crazy it was to have a light in the car. Like, whenever we need light, got it! How crazy! Just weird little things like that.

We arrived at my boyfriend's house and all went inside. I was tweaking a little bit because his dad was sitting on the couch and I was sure he'd know what was up. Nothing came of it though, and we went upstairs.

The first thing we did was play super smash brothers on nintendo. I was playing as pikachu and KICKING ASS. But then, all of the sudden I just lost interest and kept forgetting I was playing. I set the controller down and layed back on the bed. As I did this, I really started tripping and I'd feel these electrical-like surges go through me time to time . It was an incredible feeling. I looked at facebook on my phone and the words would jiggle time to time and I found it very entertaining.

One thing that stayed apparent during my whole trip was my altered perspective. Since we didn't take that much, everything was just a little bit off. My boyfriend's room seemed compressed, like it was shorter and wider then before.

At this point one of my friends had to be taken home. We dropped her off, and since my boyfriend and other friend were hungry, we went inside KFC. Bad Idea. We didn't freak out or anything, but it was the strangest experience of my life. Everything is like 50's style inside because it was also an A&W. My perspective was still off, so the tables seemed too high and the lights seems super close to our faces. As I gazed out from the table to the counter, everything looked like it was on a diagonal plane upward. It was strange, but we managed to just relax in there and ended up eating some food. I got an oreo pie, which was the most delicious pie of my life.

We finished eating, got the hell out of KFC, then decided to look for this really cool house in town that had tons of xmas lights set up that were synced with the xmas station on the radio. This house was the coolest effin house I've ever seen.

It was an awesome end to the night though, and my friend L really enjoyed her first trip. Though I'm pretty positive neither of us will ever go to KFC again.
