My report isn't very exciting, but I think it's important for my experience to get out to people.

One week ago, I had my first experience with mushrooms. I'd been wanting to try them for a long time, and my good buddy magically pulled out two little baggies while we were smoking a bowl of some nice chronic. I debated on whether I wanted to do them or not, since I would have to go to work in about 15 hours.

We both popped some xanax and vicodins, and chowed down on some nasty, funky, chewy dried mushrooms. They weren't as bad as I'd anticipated, and I usually have a weak stomach when I eat weird things. My friend put Dragonball Z on his huge plasma, and we both sat back and waited for the fun.

I was definitely feeling blitzed from the bud, but an hour came and went, and I didn't really notice much of anything other than some random movements right at the edge of my field of vision. I could never catch it, but it felt like an insect or something was buzzing by my head. My buddy? He was spinning back and forth in his computer chair, mumbling and occasionally looking up at me with wide eyes and asking me a question in some language only he understood. I, on the other hand, just never felt anything kick in at all.

I was frustrated for wasting money and having a bad first experience. But then I learned something very important that I wish I'd known sooner.

I also take two antidepressants and a benzodiazepine daily. They're for anxiety, and (obviously) depression. I've spoken with numerous experienced mushroom users about my experience. Then I did some sleuthing on the internetz, and apparently it's very common for antidepressants to completely kill the effects of mushrooms. I thought that, though uneventful, this experience report could prove useful to some.
