I had some extra Psilocybe Cubensis 'Mckennaii' strain from the last flush...a bunch of aborts and immature mushrooms, most with their caps unopened and no veil visible at all. I powdered 6 grams and added to milk chocolate, then cut and calculated grams per each section. I generally trip at low dosage for eyecandy while zoned out into music deep in thought, and rarely take more than 1.5g , so I selected the smallest chunk which contained 0.77 grams of cubensis in 12.62 grams of chocolate.

T+0:00 Eat 0.77g shroom chocolate and start eating a THC sucker.

T+0:45 First alert. Normally I would start to have slight OEV at this point but this trip was different. I could feel a heavy body load setting in and the slight confusion of a mind trip. No CEV at all.

T+1:00 Smoked 1 hit of marijuana. The trip seemed to have peeked with virtually no visuals at all, OEV nor CEV. I had a decent buzz and had no trouble reading HST gonzo anthology so this level was quite enjoyable, almost like intellectual alcohol. The ambient dubstep I was playing sounded great and enhanced more than distracted.

T+1:15 I could feel something was about to happen, but not sure what. I was sure of my dose but got the feeling I was about to trip way harder than I planned. I got in the shower, calmed myself in preparation, and relaxed. I started to get intense 3d visuals from the patterns of the cultured marble and felt heavy nausea setting in. After washing up I hurried out and laid down in bed and waited for the wave to finally crash.

T+1:30 Time slowed down to a crawl. The visuals had disappeared again but CEV's were amazing. The high was steadily building and I had multiple OOBE's and split ego. This was definitely not the trip I wanted and wondered if it would ever stop building higher. The CEV's changed from being malleable and somewhat controllable to rapid flashes of random scenes. The flash changed to random fractals coming from all directions, passing through and around me. A heavy mind trip had set in and I was debating which of the 3 of me's in front of me (in CEV) was the real one.

T+1:50 1mg Etizolam taken. I decided I was ready to end the trip as it was way more than I was prepared for. I had fallen into a very confused state and just wasn't in the mood to trip anymore. I also wanted to test the effectiveness of etizolam for such situations, and I had valium in reserve if etizolam failed.

T+2:10 I started getting intense OEV's that were mostly green in color. CEV's were green tinted as well. I could feel the etizolam fighting the mushrooms and it had a distinctively chemical vs organic battle feel going on. I felt more at ease knowing that I had taken the etizolam, but still pretty physically uncomfortable.

T+2:23 Etizolam feels to have kicked in. CEV's return to being controllable and OEV's are mostly gone, with the exception of tracers. It felt as if etizolam neutralized it down to a level I was comfortable with. Nausea is still heavy though, and focusing on text is difficult.

T+3:00 Very close to baseline except more relaxed than normal, but I take another 0.5mg etizolam so I can get some rest.

I didn't expect the aborts to be this potent, and probably could have gotten away with a 0.3 or 0.4 gram dose. I also learned that etizolam is more effective than valium to bring a trip under control.
