32 subjects were given 0.25 mcg/kg LSD orally. The Duker calculatoin test (continuous calculation of composite problems) was performed one week before LSD and four hours after LSD. LSD affected performance in the test, there being fluctuations in the performance curve ("reactive improvement" of performance as a counter-regulatory process when inhibition increases). LSD did not appear to influence conscious or unconscious motivation.
