“Ueber Modellpsychosen. (8. Lindauer Psychotherapiewoche, Mai 1958)”. 1958;108:1091.
Short report of society proceedings on the use of LSD as an adjuvant to psychotherapy. In severe cases of neurosis refractory to psychoanalysis, an individually adjusted dose of LSD (approximately 30 mcg. [orally?]) was given once weekly and followed by a psychotherapeutic session lasting the whole day. The total number of sessions per case was 12 to 20. LSD exaggerated the symptoms due to depth psychology analytical problems and thus made effective psychotherapy possible. The number of cases treated was too small to permit statistical evaluation, but the author believes that positive results were obtained in about 800f cases. This represents considerable progress in the treatment of neurosis.
