“A Human Pilot Study - Safety and Efficacy of 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) Assisted Psychotherapy in the Treatment of Chronic PTSD”.
. 2001 January 31.
Abstract
This protocol is for a pilot study into the use of 3,4- methylenedioxymethamphetamine(MDMA) to treat patients with chronic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This study builds on research begun in the Phase 1 dose/response trial conducted at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center by Dr.Charles Grob. (Grob 1995) This pilot study will gather preliminary information about the safety and efficacy of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy in stimulating therapeutic processing of traumatic experiences, with the goal of reducing or relieving symptoms of PTSD.
