Erowid Monthly
This month we've begun publishing never before publicly available issues of Microgram, launched in 1967 as the internal publication of the Bureau of Drug Abuse Control, and later published by the DEA. These first four issues give a glimpse of the drug control establishment's view of "hippies" and the drugs they were using in the pivotal late 1960s.
In History...10, 15, 30 And 50 Years Ago Today
10 years ago (May 2006), Erowid.org had 49,329 average daily visitors.

15 years ago (May 2001), Erowid Extracts is first published. Erowid.org had 19,299 average daily visitors (200,000 page hits/day).

30 years ago (May 1986), the first-ever conference on MDMA is held in Oakland, CA, sponsored by the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic and the Institute for Addiction Studies. Presenters include James Bakalar, George Greer, Debbie Harlow, and David Nichols.

50 years ago (May 1966), Journal of the American Chemical Society publishes Dr. Shulgin's "The Six Trimethoxyphenylisopropylamines", on the TMA series of psychoactives.
