Erowid.org About
Erowid Monthly
Every September we seek a new high for the number of contributors in a single month. In 2015 we had 1,193 so this year we're seeking 1,194 donors to contribute during the month. If you appreciate Erowid's mission to educate the public about psychoactive plants and drugs, make a donation of $5, $10, or $25.

Crew Notes
Volunteer Sysadmin: Erowid is seeking an experienced FreeBSD sysadmin for two weekends of hands-on work in the next few months. Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Security router appliance experience a plus. SpamAssassin experience a plus. Spread the word!

Burning Man: Last week, Fire and Earth spent a few days in the dusty revelry on the playa to commemorate a friend who died earlier this year. One of his last wishes was to have some of his ashes included in the Temple burn. The 2016 Temple was one of our favorites ever. We were honored to participate.

Experience Reports
(see 120 new)
  • From Psychonaut to Junkie (alpha-PHP), by snake1118
"The chemical started to become more of a burden than an 'enhancer' as I previously thought. One night it happened, I had to leave for work in an hour, I stayed up all night on a-PHP losing track of time and redosing every 1-2 hours."
  • My 2C Cough (2C-B, 2C-C, 2C-D, 2C-I & 2C-T-2), by sakithin
"My usual cough feels like it's scratching an itch down in the lower parts of my throat, and is unambiguously a dry cough. In contrast, the 2C cough feels like a hollow cough, coming from my lungs rather than my throat."
  • Nothing Extreme (Proscaline), by Rampelflik
"I weighed an amount of proscaline that shouldn't give any noticeable effects and is low enough, should it actually be the mislabeled and most potent chemical from the particular vendor I bought the stuff from, so that it wouldn't be an overdose."
From the Vaults
As part of an early-aughts project, we began collecting resources, links, and documents around the topic of children and families in relationship to psychoactive substances. Maggie is a single mom raising her 15-year-old daughter, Juju, who was also interviewed.
