Consciousness, awareness, mind, and spirit are recursively impacted by the choices people make about psychoactives. This insight actively informs our work at Erowid. In June, Fire and Earth participated in a technical workshop series titled "Technology and Consciousness", and we've spent the last few months reflecting on related issues, both personally and professionally.

Following some recent personal losses, and as we begin Erowid's annual support drive, we want to extend our most positive thoughts to all conscious beings moving through the challenging, wonderful, and awe-full experience of being alive.

Alexander Shulgin recorded first taking MDMA (16 mg) on Sep 8, 1976. After stepping up doses, he reported first clear effects from 81 mg, taken Sep 27, 1976. Five years earlier, police had identified MDMA in samples seized from a recreational drug user near Chicago.

Novel Drug Briefs 2 Clonazolam, 1P-LSD, 3-FPM, and 2'-Oxo-PCE are representative of a range of novel compounds sold in recent years. The recent multi-agency sting on darknet markets puts a large yet temporary dent in the economy that produces and distributes such chemicals.

Fundamentals of Responsible Psychoactive Use - Hebrew This Hebrew edition is the ninth in the series of translations of Erowid's guide to relating responsibly to psychoactive plants, drugs, and technologies.

Law enforcement's disastrous prohibition "policies" continue apace. Two large Tor-only ("darknet") marketplaces for controlled substances and unclassified drugs went the way of Silk Road and succumbed to law enforcement sting operations in mid-2017.

EcstasyData is an Erowid project that conducts laboratory testing of ecstasy tablets, research chemicals, and other drugs. We publish our results online along with analyses from other testing programs.
