My interest in psychedelics revolves mostly around their applications as tools both for psychotherapy and spiritual growth. On top of that, exploring the mind can be a hell of a lot of fun. While my personal use of these substances is kind of rare these days, they have in the past served me well, and I'm sure will again. I truly believe that these drugs must be re-legalized and studied so that we can learn how best to make use of the immense benefits they offer humanity.

Over the years I've also experimented with many non-psychedelic drugs for various reasons as well... Curiosity about whether or not they offer anything useful for understanding the mind... Medical use of traditional medicinal plants... Recreation... Understanding the effects of drugs so as to be able to relate to drug users for purposes of harm reduction... And, in a few cases, youthful stupidity.

'Drugs' is a meaningless term, I think. 'Drug,' 'food,' 'medicine,' and 'poison' are all blurry categories along a spectrum, with various plants and chemicals able to fit in any of those categories depending on how they're being used. 'Drugs' need to be treated as the individual and distinct plants and chemicals that they are, and not all lumped together. They are as unique and individual as people.
